Cornerback William Gay Back In Steeler Family; LeBeau Says Health Is Key To Steelers in 2013

William Gay Signed Back Home

Veteran corner William Gay agreed to a 3 year-deal with the Steelers. The move should give the Steelers some insurance if unrestricted free agent Keenan Lewis decides to play somewhere else. Gay had expected to play with Arizona another season but was released last Friday. According to reports, Gay never even sold his condo because of his love of Pittsburgh. "I'm happy to be home," said Gay.

Harrison Still Playing Coy

As reported last week, Steelers have restructured several contracts. James Harrison continues to be hesitant about restructuring his $6.5 million contract. According to his agent, both sides have been working hard to work something out. Harrison will be 35 in two months.

The good news? They are still talking.

Dick LeBeau: Steelers Health Key To 2013

LeBeau is making it very clear: to be successful this coming season and continue to have a shot at the Super Bowl, the Steelers need to remain healthy especially the offensive line.

It's clear the Steelers still have a talented roster. However, if they continue to experience injuries like the did last season (Polamalu, Woodley, Roethlisberger, and other key players), the coming season could be a struggle. There is scuttlebutt of the Steelers pursuing a new conditioning coach.
